Announcement of the Managerial and Expert Conferences of the
Centre of Public Employment Services of Southeast European Countries

During its presidency, the Croatian Employment Service is going to make efforts to actively contribute to better relations and cooperation
of the Southeast European countries by organizing two managerial and two expert conferences. The conferences held as follows:


Dear Sir or Madam,

within its 2011 presidency of the Centre of Public Employment Services of Southeast European Countries, the Croatian Employment Service has compiled the Statistical Bulletin of the Centre member countries.

In Statistical Bulletin No. 3 the following data have been presented: macroeconomic indicators, demographic indicators, labour market indicators according to the Labour Force Survey and according to the administrative sources as well as labour market indicators – active and passive employment policy measures for all member countries, the year of 2010 included.

Dear CPESSEC members,
 
We are pleased to follow up on the conclusions of the 6th Expert Conference of the CPESSEC held in Zagreb in March 2011 and invite CPESSEC members to participate in the following initiative: 

The Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) and its Local Economic and Employment (LEED) Programme is conducting a study on "Local Development Capacity Assessment in EU Candidate Countries and Potential Candidates in the Western Balkans”. The objective is to provide practical recommendations to national and local policy makers on how to improve local capacity to:

  1. Promote employment and skills development;
  2. Foster social inclusion;
  3. Support SME creation and growth;
  4. Design and implement integrated local development strategies.
