On 31 December 2012 the Croatian Employment Service (CES) had a total number of 1,249 staff members.
The total number of 719 (57.6%) employees had a university level, that is postgraduate degree; the total number of 194 (15.5%) employees had a non-university degree; the total number of 273 (21.9%) had a 4-year vocational secondary school education; the total number of 24 (1.9%) employees had a 1 to 3-year vocational secondary school education and the total number of 39 (3.1%) employees were persons with no schooling and uncompleted basic school or with basic school education. Employees with university level made up an absolute majority (57.6%).
Out of the total number, 1,102 or 88.2% were employed in regional offices, and 147 or 11.8% were employed at the Central Office. The greatest number of employees was employed at Regional Offices Zagreb (169), Split (123), Osijek (94) and Rijeka (70), meaning that 36.5% of the total number of the CES employees was employed in the aforementioned offices.
