TRAININGS OF TRAINERS FOR REGIONAL ANTIDISCRIMINATION CONTACT POINTS HELD
One of activities within the project “Equally diverse” was the selection of regional contact points for providing information on antidiscrimination. With that purpose 5 civil organizations were selected, one from each region of Croatia, and they will in collaboration with the Office of Ombudsman provide help to all citizens in their fight against discrimination but also deal with antidiscrimination and diversity promotion.

TRAININGS FOR MENTORS WITHIN THE PROJECT “CROATIAN EMPLOYMENT SERVICE LABOUR MARKET TRAINING CENTRE” HELD
At the end of February, trainings for CES mentors started within the third component of the project “Croatian Employment Service Labour Market Training Centre”. Five trainings for mentors were implemented in the period between February and April this year.

CLOSING CEREMONY OF THE PROJECT „PREPARATION OF THE CROATIAN EMPLOYMENT SERVICE FOR JOINING THE EURES NETWORK“
On Tuesday, 19 April 2011, in the premises of the European Union Information Centre, the closing ceremony of the project “Preparation of the Croatian Employment Service for joining the EURES network” was held. The project is implemented in the scope of Component I. of the Instrument for pre-accession assistance (IPA) programme, “Assistance in transition and institution building”. It’s a Twinning Light project of 230.000 € total value, and was implemented by the Croatian Employment Service in partnership with the Federal Employment Agency from Germany.

FINAL CONFERENCE OF PROJECT "YOUTH IN THE LABOUR MARKET (YLM)" HELD
On Tuesday, 5 July 2011, the final conference of the project “Youth in the labour market (YLM)” was held at the Sheraton hotel in Zagreb. The project with the duration of 18 months was implemented within Component IV ("Human Resources Development") of the Instrument for Pre-accession Assistance (IPA), by the Croatian Employment Service as beneficiary institution and the consortium led by German company Gopa Consultants as partners.

CLOSING CEREMONY OF PROJECT “FOSTERING EFFECTIVE INCLUSION OF PERSONS WITH DISABILITIES INTO THE LABOUR MARKET”
On Monday, 28 February 2011, with the beginning at 10:30, the closing ceremony of the project “Fostering Effective Inclusion of Persons with Disabilities into the Labour Market” was held at The Regent Esplanade Hotel in Zagreb. At the beginning of the ceremony, Ms Ankica Paun Jarallah, Director General of the Croatian Employment Service, addressed the audience.

EUROPEAN EXPERIENCE IN TOURISM MANAGEMENT

Selection of young unemployed who will participate in the project was held during October and November of 2010 in six CES Regional offices (Rijeka, Pula, Šibenik, Zadar, Split i Dubrovnik). Eight persons with secondary school diploma (5 cooks and 3 waiters) and 12 persons with university diploma in the tourism and hospitality sector were selected. The practical training in Germany will last from January 29 till February 26 2011.
